Sunday Morning

We’d love to welcome you on any Sunday morning to Teversham CE Primary School for our regular Sunday morning gathering at 10:30 am. You can expect a mix of songs and hymns, prayers, a Bible reading and a talk based on it – all in language you can understand whether you’re new to church or a regular. We’re all together in the school hall for the first 25 minutes for our all-age worship time before the children go out to their age-appropriate groups. Often the children return for the final song.

We eat together almost every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) and we’d really encourage you to stay and chat and get to know us better over food – members of the church provide this every week and there’s plenty to go round.

Through every part of our gathering we want the Bible to be central so that we ‘let the message of Christ dwell among [us] richly as [we] teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in [our] hearts.’ (Colossians 3:16)

About every two weeks we celebrate the Lord’s Supper towards the end of our Sunday gathering with bread and wine (or juice) and all those who love the Lord Jesus are welcome to participate in this. If you’re still exploring the Christian faith then we’d be delighted for you to be with us on any Sunday, but at this point we’d encourage you to just pass the bread and wine on to others – it’s something for those who have already made that commitment to following Christ. Talk to us about this afterwards if you want to know more – we really welcome questions!

Whether you’re coming on your own or with a whole family, we trust there will be something for you on a Sunday morning at Hope.
